Le courant spirituel appelé Falun Gong nous vient de Chine. Il m’a intéressé à plusieurs titres : par ses rapports fascinants avec le christianisme et avec le Grand Œuvre des alchimistes. J’ai obtenu des réponses qui, paradoxalement, m’ont permises d’aller plus loin dans la connaissance de la culture occidentale. J’ai eu parfois cette impression étrange que le Bouddha dont il est question chez eux est à la foi un allié du Christ et de Christian Rose+Croix.
Ce mouvement est très récent. Il fut fondé par LI HONGZHI en 1992. Les autorités politiques de ce pays l’ont d’abord accepté et favorisé. Dans un second temps, en 1999, les mêmes autorités désavouèrent cette philosophie et parlèrent de « pratiquants hérétiques » (sic) en la traitant de secte dangereuse. Ils commencèrent par emprisonner et torturer ses membres de la même manière qu’ils persécutent les prêtres catholiques romains qui, soumis à l’autorité du pape, n’acceptant pas d’être sous la dictature de l’état.
Actuellement l’emprisonnement et la torture jusqu’à la mort son pratiques courantes. J’ai entendu dire par de mauvaises langues que c’était un sport national.
La raison de cette persécution est évidente. D’abord le nombre de membres dépassa le nombre d’inscrits au parti communiste, ce qui est considérable et de ce fait représente un danger pour les autorités politiques totalitaires en place qui n’acceptent aucune contradiction. Je dois souligner que le mouvement Falun Gong est apolitique. Un deuxième point est à l’origine de la peur des autorités est l’indépendance de penser de ces membres
